According to city council members, 1,088 city employees have access to gas cards that allow employees to fill up public-owned cars and trucks. The sheriff's department says Hoeb Chan, 27, of Dickinson Street in Rochester robbed the First Niagara Bank on Bay Road. Firefighters Battle Bethany Barn Fire (R News) Three people in Bethany are recovering from smoke inhalation after they got caught up in a barn fire. The fire started around 7:45 Tuesday morning. Firefighters say it started in the grain dryer portion of the structure. The sheriff's department says the First Niagara Bank on Bay Road in Penfield was robbed shortly after 10 a.m. Corrections Officers Rally in Rochester (R News) Corrections officers in this part of the state made their concerns public on the streets of downtown Rochester. They fear more budget cuts could endanger their lives and the public's. M&T Bank Robbed on E. Ridge Road (R News) Irondequoit police are investigating an afternoon bank robbery. Police say a man walked into an M&T Branch on East Ridge Road around 12:30 Thursday. He passed the teller a note demanding money and fled on foot in a southbound direction.
